The Respiratory Rally is a One-Day conference for people suffering with lung disease. The Rally is open to all individuals affected by lung disease, their families, caregivers, friends, or anyone interested in learning more about this disease. The day is full of inspirational messages, education, and exhibits. A continental breakfast and healthy lunch designed with the nutritional needs of the respiratory patient in mind is also included.

Goals:

• To provide an exchange of information for those affected by lung disease to gain the necessary tools for living daily with a chronic illness.
• To provide social interaction with those sharing a common problem in an effort to decrease depression and provide a more optimistic view of life.
• To enable individuals with chronic lung disease to live a more productive and fulfilling life.

Target Market:

• Average age is between 60-90.
• Most participants are affected by chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) or emphysema.
• Approximately 20% must rely on oxygen 24 hours a day.
